In a Quarantine Quandary?

As the global pandemic situation continues to evolve, many of us at home are wondering when things will resume normalcy. While in many jurisdictions restaurants and fast food companies have remained open for takeout or delivery, many people have taken to dining at home, preferring to set their table with foods prepared themselves. This comes as no surprise. With cancellations and closures still in effect across many parts of North America, one’s home remains the safest place to shelter and dine.

Unofficially dubbed "Canada Takeout Day", the movement has gained increasing popularity among restaurant owners, chefs and other parts of the food industry. We wholeheartedly support our local small businesses and, if you can, you should too!

But something very interesting has also emerged since the start of the pandemic. For those of you who follow Pinterest, or Facebook feeds, you’ll see that the pandemic has given rise to a particular culinary creativity that appears to have lain dormant within many of us.
